The crevice quarter FSQ is a simple, functional and inexpensive crevice quarter, mainly intended for installation in buildings or winter quarters. This includes bunkers, cellars, caves, etc., which do not have natural crevices as hanging places or have too few hanging places.
It can be attached to walls, pillars, etc. with the supplied V2A fastening material.
Small bats, such as the Pipistrellus species, prefer very narrow roosts, preferably in winter roosts. Therefore, the gap in the upper part measures only 10 mm. The practice of the last years showed a very good acceptance.
The FSQ crevice roost is made of heat-insulating wood concrete.
If the quarters are used outdoors, e.g. under bridges, the area between the wall and the crevice quarters should be sealed to prevent drafts.
